RULES!

(Adopted July 02nd, 2009)

1.      Anyone is welcome to come to our gatherings and join the group.

2.      New interested people are welcome to come as guests a couple of times to get the taste, and then they can join the group or let me know that they are no longer interested in receiving invitations.

3.      Membership year is September-September, or every academic year.

4.      Dues are due in September-October of every year.

5.      If dues are not received by December, no further invitations will follow until the dues are received.

6.      Dues are $15/person/year or $25/couple/year.

7.      We try to schedule our gatherings on the second Thursday of every month October-June, unless another day is preferred by a speaker or a host.

8.      If you have paid your dues but don’t receive an invitation by the end of the first week of every month, you may have problems receiving our e-mails.  In this case please e-mail (innalehman@gmail.com) or call me directly (742-1967).

9.      If you are a paid member who is not using e-mail, please let me know and I will mail you invitations.

10.  Our gatherings are potlucks so everyone, including UNH active faculty, is encouraged to bring a dish to share.  If you don’t have time or do not cook, please bring something from the store that everyone can enjoy eating.  Wine alone is not considered to be a contribution to the potluck.  You are welcome to bring wine to share with others but please make sure you bring a dish as well.  This does not have to be a main dish.

11.  Only full-time UNH students are not expected to bring anything.  They are our guests and one of the group’s missions is to introduce the students to our community and to the American culture.  Some of them volunteer to bring something anyway. 

12.  Hostesses are not expected to cook the day they host unless they want to.  Tea, coffee and mineral water are a sufficient contribution.
